  I set We7 as a "pinned tab" which makes it smaller on the task bar, and also means it's always there again when you restart Chrome. Not sure an extension would buy you too much more...

  That would be a great idea. The only thing that annoys me with we7 is that it is quite easy to accidentally close the we7 tab in the browser. An extension that adds a button in the toolbar would prevent this.
