Console Integration
Console integration
It would be really cool if we7 was integrated into consoles (Playstation, Xbox).
A lot of people use their consoles as the main multimedia hub of their room, so it seems like the best place to have we7 integrated.
You could always do what BBCiPlayer have done with the Playstation3 and create a PS3 browser friendly version of the site.
A partnership with Sony or Microsoft to implement we7 into a console would make make your user base skyrocket.
We will be producing apps for games consoles. This will happen after we have finished with mobile phones so it wont be for a little while yet.

With the latest system update on PS3 www.we7.com works with the built-in browser. It takes a long time to load the first time and there are some small display problems, but now you can play music from we7 on your favourite games console hooked up to your best stereo system :).

Additionally i think it would get many more people to use we7 as they would be able to use it on games consoles as well.

I don't think having to subscribe would be a problem, I think it would make more people subscribe. I use my xbox to stream music from my PC, as I have a better sound system connected to it, as I'm sure most people do!

Oooh - in addition, how about discussing with Roberts to add it to the next firmware release for their Wifi radios?
Secondary playout accounts - able to select Loved albums and playlists? -

I think this could make my sub! Last.fm is great on there, but doesn't support choosing songs, Spotify hasn't arrived there yet and the Zune thing is crap in the UK (all the above being for the 360).

This would probably make me pay for a premium account.

I don't see the point of this on PS3 - we have VidZone!

I'm a paying subscriber and would be very interested in this. The best sound system is usually plugged into the TV nowadays. Playstation 3 has iPlayer, XBox has sky player, and I'm sure the number of services will soon explode. It would be a good idea to push we7 towards this expanding market as a leader rather than a follower. It would also target a new audience that perhaps have yet to hear of we7. Just my two cents.

I would be interested. Also maybe offer a Myth or similar plugin?
Oh -and add the Nokia N900 to the list of kit that could use its own media player - or offer sideloads...

I currently use another streaming company for my Andriod... looking for reasons to switch, my main gripe is that I cannot stream from my PS3. If you could do this, you will definitely have my business (and I am sure many other peoples!)

Please do this because we7 won't work on the ps3 web browser :(

if a slight discount could be made for already being a premium account paying we7 user that'd be great too

Its a long shot, but you could ask Microsoft to increase their Xbox Live gold price by like 3 quid, and then get a percentage of profits. If we7/xbox users put together a petition, it might persuade them.
